Four years ago I purchased a Bohus sweater kit from a yarn dyer and spinner in Sweden. It took me two tries to get the neck band and color work just right. Then I did a bit of the increase shaping for the arms and chest and that was it.
The project sat in my close and on my Ravelry page. Neglected.
So I pulled it out yesterday. And soon thereafter, I lost it. I had no idea what the hell I was doing. Four years ago I decided to break from the pattern, which calls for knitting the sleeves and body in pieces to be sewn up when finished. I decided to continue knitting it in the round. But I did not keep any notes. Nor did the stitch markers in the project appear to actually mark anything useful.
So tonight I did what any good knitter and nerd would do. I made a spreadsheet. I combined all of the instructions for the component pieces (back, sleeve one, front, sleeve two) so that I could knit them all together in the round. I included columns for stitch counts.
So now I have a plan!
2012 is the year I finish the damn Bohus Wild Apple!
